Rửa đậu phộng và ngâm chúng trong nước khoảng 2 giờ. Chuẩn bị gia vị: 5 muỗng canh nước tương, 2.5 muỗng canh giấm, đường, ớt khô, tiêu, hoa hồi, lá nguyệt quế.
Sau khi đậu phộng được rửa sạch, đặt chúng vào nồi, thêm vào các loại gia vị đã chuẩn bị, đỏ vào 2 chén nước. Đun cho đến khi hạt đậu chín mềm thì tắt bếp. Đợi nguội rồi cho vào ngăn mát tủ lạnh, ngâm qua đêm.
