Cho đậu phộng đã luộc vào nồi, thêm vào khoảng 2 chén nước lọc, 1 muỗng cà phê muối, 1 muỗng cà phê nước mắm, 1/2 muỗng cà phê đường, đun sôi thêm khoảng 5 - 8 phút.
Thì cho bí đỏ vào đun cùng, đun đến khi ăn thử bí đỏ mềm, nêm nếm lại gia vị cho vừa ăn.
Cho bò viên vào, đun sôi khoảng 5 phút thì tắt bếp, thêm hành lá, bên trên rắc một ít tiêu lên bề mặt.
